You see my editor is a friend. A real life human being in my life. In Indie author land most of us work together in virtual space never having to be in real life with each other. But I make it a point to know personally and in a real way everyone I work with. And I'm not known for the going too far in sex scene. And yes there is an imaginary line some writers try to not cross. I have a line. I've had my love scenes described by literary professionals as: "You handle the sex parts brilliantly and they really echo the gentler yet raw and pure passion side of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, but without pushing the sex too far and that’s great." And that is the pocket I like to stay in. Never pushing the sex too far.
But the problem is, Linda Cray is a different girl than the type of heroines I usually write. So do I let her be her on paper and cross the line letting her run loose on the pages. What will my readers think? Will this be my first release with a "18+ only Mature readers only" warning? Will I ever be able to sit down at Friday Fiesta Mexican Food night and have dinner with my girlfriend/editor and feel comfortable with her? Will I dial it back before I release it?
To be honest I don't know. It's going to edit exactly how Linda demanded I write it. But I'm really nervous. What will Natasha think of me by the time this release is finished?
