It's almost time to say goodbye to 2015. Wow, what a year... #amreading #amwriting #indieauthor #authors #romance #kindle #bookboost #RT #kindle

This day is the same for all of us; that last day of the year when we reflect on all that's happened. There have been highs. There have been lows and there have been WOWS. All and all, pretty darn incredible for granny.

I released 9 books: Dillon in the Reckless Anthology; The Encounter in the Irrevocably Claimed Anthology; The Girl of Sand & Fog; Broken Crown, The Girl in the Comfortable Quiet; The Girl of Diamonds & Rust; The Gil of Tokens & Tears; One Long Kiss; and One More Kiss.  Now that's a lot of work for anyone, even those authors who are not  grandmothers. And your response to my work is mind-blowing. I never thought people would enjoy my little stories, and here we are all together still releasing more Parker Saga books--and a few pirate books as well.

2016 is going to be just as busy. I have 3 books releasing shortly after the New Year: One Forever Kiss; Love me Forever; and Graham in the Hearts Afire Anthology. I've been very busy, and as soon as my editor catches up and I pick cover designs I'm hitting release. 7 books 2014. 9 books 2015. The goal this year is 12 books for 2016.

But the highlight for me as an author was going to book signings and getting to meet so many wonderful readers. I am overwhelmed that anyone would travel anywhere just to meet me and have a book signed. Truly, it's been like living a fairy tale. It's what I always wanted to do with my life and couldn't, but now that I'm old I can and am so grateful that so many of you are joining me on my journey. Thank you, wherever you are, for giving me this incredible highlight in a life I did not think would have too many more highlights.

In my personal life, the highlight was the birth of my grandson, Baby Hugs, and my husband finally on track health wise after a hell of year.

So from the bottom of my heart, from me to all of you, when you pass a moment reflecting on 2015 may your highs be grand, your lows few, and you WOWs truly special. And may your new year be filled with only love and smiles.

Have a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve.

As ever I wish you Peace.

When I released my first book, The Girl on the Half Shell, May 2014 I didn't imagine I'd still be around in Indie author land with so many marvelous readers and now celebrating my second Christmas with you all.  My first month I sold less than 100 books and I thought, Oh jeez, this is just little ole me talking to me out here. Since then, 15 more books released~~yep I'm up to 16 books!~~ and over 100,000 downloads later, you've become a very special part of my family.

When something happens special in my life, I run to share it with you. And when something NOT so magical happens, I run to share it with you because so many of you are truly inspirational in the kindness you give to this old gal out of nowhere. So on this quiet Christmas morning, in my empty house~except for Emma dog and Muffin Kitty~ before some of my children descend, I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for being with me on my journey. It wouldn't be a journey without you.

I'm wishing you all a marvelous holiday with family, friends,  laughter, and yes,  tears. Happy tears are one of my favorite things. This is a day to be thankful for our blessing, and you are my most wonderful, unexpected blessing in the least likely time of my years.

God Bless.

Merry Christmas.

And as always I wish you Peace.

Good morning from Elk Grove, darlings. It's almost Christmas... #amreading #amwriting #romance #blogging #indieauthor #authors #amazon #kindle #kindleunlimited #RT

What are you doing here, reading the blog of an old woman? Just kidding darlings. Glad you're here.  If you weren't here this house would be empty. So through this very quiet holiday season I've been working on the final edits for One Forever Kiss. The present ambiance of my universe sort of fits it. I'm pretty much where Jack Parker is in the Affair without End Series. At that crossroad of life where you are planning your last few chapters...and yes darlings, we all get there, to the age where there are fewer chapters ahead than there are behind you.

You see our kids are grown. They are scattered all over the planet and it's quiet here. It's hard to be festive without kids.  This is the second year in a row I haven't even rallied the holiday cheer enough to get a tree. We don't have a single present in the house. I pretty much send out just holiday check these days. Except for my grandson, Baby Hugs. Him I went shopping for. Baby things are a delight and you pretty much can't go wrong with a 9 month old. Brightly colored, lots of large parts, preferably irritating to adult ears, and you've pretty much found the perfect baby toys. Yep, I did presents for Hugs.

So why am I telling you this? I just sort of feel like I can tell you guys anything. We've all been together for quite a while. My extra-special extended family.  There are the ones of you who check-in on me regularly(I have daughters like that). There are the ones of you who check-in when I'm behind on the new release and you want it(I have daughters like that). And there are the ones of you who check-in randomly just to make me smile or laugh.(I have a daughter like that.) See, pretty much my fictional universe has given me a wonderful virtual family.

I hope wherever you are this holiday season is full of joy and laughter. That you take time to pause and breathe and give thanks for the blessings you have. It's not about the presents or the tree or the party or Elf on the Shelf or anything else. Regrettably, too often we learn this once we're old...it's about how we're all just a little kinder, make just a smidgen more effort with each other, and that we take the time to reconnect with those we love.

As ever darlings I wish you Peace.

Good morning, darlings. I've been getting lots of notes~where are you, Susan, on Jack's story. Where are on Indy's~and I've been quiet because I was finishing my 16th release, Dillon, and I'm very excited because I've expanded the Parker Universe. When the Reckless Anthology group invited me to write a novella for them, I jumped on the opportunity to join a project with an incredible collection of authors. Since the theme is Bad Boys  it gave me a chance to start releasing the project I'd been kicking around in my head so there really wasn't any question in my mind about adding this project to my 2015 list. Bad Boy novella included in a book with amazing authors; hell yeah, I'm there.

There is a huge supporting cast of characters in the Parker Universe and the first "not a rock star" series is about to be launched. My Locked & Loaded Series about the elite security team who protects everyone in the Parker Universe. I got so many notes about Graham Carson in The Girl of Sand & Fog, I thought why not write a series based on these remarkable young men who served our military and now live protecting my beloved characters on tour. But I didn't start with Graham. I started with Dillon Warrick. Graham's story will be coming out February 14th in the Hearts Afire Anthology.

As for One Forever Kiss, Jack's story is soon to be in final edit. I want so very much for that to be my final release for 2015.

As for Love Me Forever, Indy's story is nearing completion and I hope to have it in first edit soon.

I apologize for having been MIA and running a touch late with my releases. The older I get more seems to go on in my real world life. My husband had another surgery end of November and on the exact same day my daughter/grandson were in a car accident. A few days later my 18 year old cat died. Then the terrorist attack in San Bernardino.

I am so very grateful for all of you who read my books and send me notes. Writing is my refuge from the real world. It's glorious to come out of my writing cave to find you all and  so many little kindnesses. It makes reentering the real world an easier thing.

This holiday season I wish you happiness and joy...And as ever, I wish you Peace.
