Hello 2015. A brand new year, but my hopes are the same... #blogging #amreading #author #chicklit #indieauthor #kindle #amwriting

I try to stay focused on the things that are important: my husband, my kids, my family, my environmental work, and staying true to why I write. I write romance, but if you've purchased a book by me, you know there are life lessons inside.  Things of meaning I hope people will take note of and understand. I don't know if I do it well. I am always happy when I get an email from a reader who lets me know, gosh I get what you said here and why. So I write my way and I just know everything I do in life has meaning to me. I can't just write a story. I have to share the "why." Sorry, that's me.

It is easy to get caught up in the Indie world. Such drama there. And I am a solitary kind of gal. You'd think it would easy  for me to stay clear of the sub-story of publishing, the arguments and the rivalry. The highs and lows. The dreams and wishes of others.  And yet, there is a story being told among some amazing  Indie authors, their journey, their hopes, their struggles that is impossible not to take note of.  It is full of hope  and amazing people.

I love watching a new story unfold~~not of a book being released~~but of a new author stepping out onto this road. I am a business woman at heart, so for me my motto is: there is no such thing as too much competition. I want everyone to follow their dream, learn what this journey tells them  ABOUT THEM. Heck, I'm 1/2 century old and this road has told me something new about me that I never expected to discover. So for all of you meandering onto my personal path and writing journey from time to time, thank you so much for being part of my discovery of self. I couldn't do it if you all weren't there. And I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

So for 2015 my resolutions are small. The are pretty much constants in my life. Nothing new, but here they are:
1. Never judge anyone. You know not what is in their heart.
2. Be kind to everyone
3. Be forgiving of those who are not kind
4. Be good to yourself.
5. Always choose love.
6. And at least once a day wish someone peace. It is the greatest thing you can wish someone. Peace in life. Peace in heart. Peace in body. Peace in soul.

May your 2015 be a marvelous year. And as always I wish you PEACE!
