I should have thought of a really cool pen name like...

Susan Zelowitz. I did a Google search. No Susan Zelowitz comes up. That name is free. But no, I kept Susan Ward. First because I could spell it, and second because I thought it kind of cool when I do a Google Search the first page is all young, brunette hot actresses. There are five of them I think. I counted them, and I thought well maybe someone would mistake them for me when I was young...OK, don't say it, roll with it. It could happen.

Then I went to Goodreads and discovered those pesky little Hollywood actresses write books, and basically so does every other Susan Ward in America. I have gone through every variation on how to get a Goodreads Author tag posted on my profile, when I do it via name as suggested there are so many pages I can't find my work,  and finally I tossed in the towel and sent an email simply stating: there are too many of me. Can you help? I didn't want to accidentally link myself with the Susan Ward who writes books on breast feeding. Romance and Lactation? Maybe it would work for marketing, but I don't think so.

And I didn't want a repeat of my Amazon Author's page. I have a strange French cook book stalking me there. Don't know where it came from, I don't know how it got linked to me, and I can't make it go away. But trust me I did not write La Cuisine libanaise.  Gourmet in my house is a Trader Joe's frozen dinner.

So as of today I'm still Susan Ward and I'm still 99 cents The Girl on the Half Shell.
