Well today I woke up with clouds overhead and it poured hard...but only for about 40 seconds. I jumped up from my patio and ran outside to collect my animals before they got soaked.
While I welcome the rain. Really miss the rain. Contemplated going to London now just to see rain, it would take 30 days of solid rain to get us out of the pickle we're in with the drought and somehow I don't think that's happening anytime soon. The problems with these little rain storms is that beyond being a nice change...since it never rains in California... they don't do much.
Try to keep that in mind, Cali friends. A little rain doesn't mean we're out of the pickle we're in with the drought or the high fire alert for the season. Always conserve and always be careful.
But I do love a rainy day. Somehow I write 5000 words on a rainy day instead of my usual 2000 when it's sunny. That's probably because, like a true Californian, a little rain keeps me indoors all day. Three days of thunderstorms? I might finish the first Encounters Novella. A good week since yesterday I finished the second book of the The Girl on the Half Shell Series 99cents celebration today!
