This weekend I finished the edit process, boxed up and released my three historical novels-When the Perfect Comes, Face to Face, Love's Patient Fury-into one collection: The Deverells. When I unpublished them I never expected the reader reaction I got. Where are the books? I borrowed them on Kindle Unlimited, wanted to read them again, and they're gone!
Mary & Varian were always very special to me. They are a bit like me and my husband, only I'm less volatile than Merry and my husband...oh crap, he's pretty much exactly like Varian. Laughing...well, the good parts of Varian. They were the hardest book couple for me to release, because I finished them over 20 years ago and it took me 10 years to write because I had a fulltime job and a house full of children. They are the first books and series I ever "officially" finished. I used to write and not be able to finish a book because I'd miss the story and the characters too much.
I released the books for me, proof that I could do this and to know they'd be alive for a little while for someone else. They were the first books I finished 20 years ago and they took me 10 years of nights after my house of children went to sleep to write because I used to have a problem finishing things because I hated to say goodbye to the characters and the story. I unpublished them because I was ready to have them all to myself again and concentrate on only my contemporary romance books. But you readers....
So after much hemming and hawing, I've released them for a limited time. And this time I went to all retailers EXCEPT Amazon. I hope you enjoy my spirited Mary and my loveable bad-boy pirate Varian. And Remember: When I unpublish them this time, they are gone forever.
As ever I wish you peace and happy reading.
