My husband likes to fight the early battles so I let him fight with ant spray and traps for a few weeks, but it always ends the same way. Completely overrun. No victories, and I have to tell him Sorry, hun, I think we have to call in the marines!
Now I don't know for sure if my pest control guy is ex-military, he doesn't market it, doesn't talk about it, I like to support Veteran owned business, but he sort of gives it away when he gets here. First, this young man takes command of my house and I end up calling him sir. He always asks me things like: where are they inside the perimeter and where are the hot zones. He tells me I need to get all the animals behind perimeter , and I can't go back into the zone for two hours. While loading the animals in the car, I lost one of the cats last time and it felt like we were on a search and rescue mission. Once I've got the animals loaded up, he tells me he's going to get his gear and I need to clear the perimeter. He has an incredible work ethic, he always works until the job is done and he always calls me the same day to make sure everything is OK!
So this morning I'm loading up the animals for our first summer offensive. When I come back this house will be clean... of ants that is!
